Drawing/illustrating is not just what I do. It's who I am. Every scrap piece of paper I found as a kid was my blank canvas. I have training in traditional art mediums, but most of my current work is digital.
I love, love, love picture books. I first became interested in the positive effect that books can have on children during my years as a day care school teacher. That love and passion for picture books developed into a desire to write/illustrate books of my own.
I am actively writing, illustrating, querying and promoting on social media. Seeking representation for illustration and kid lit work.
Prior to focusing my creative energies on writing/illustrating picture books, I spent many years working as a graphic designer/art director.
Other interests I have include: motocross, video games, playing guitar, going to the beach, eating Maryland style crabs and whoopie pies, riding mountain bikes.
